West Fork Conservation Team
Join our West Fork Conservation Team – The second Wednesday of each month a group of volunteers go to Azusa Canyon (45 minutes from Long Beach) to do stream repair and various conservation projects on the West Fork of the San Gabriel River.
We welcome all the help we can get!
Meet at 8:45 a.m. at the Education Center (on the left just before the river) for a prompt 9 a.m. departure.
Since we’re working on the river we get to drive past the gates up to our work spots. Bring a lunch, water, hat, bug spray and hand/garden tools (if you prefer to use your own). Bring your flyrod along as well since there’s usually time to fish once the work is done.
